Are you passionate about finance and eager to contribute to the growth of an innovative B2B Manufacturing and Procurement SaaS startup? We are seeking a talented and driven individual to join our team as a Finance Associate. This role presents an exciting opportunity to shape the financial landscape of our company, report directly to the managing partners for investor and financing rounds, and grow with us as we expand.

About Us:

We are 3D Spark, an award-winning software startup from Hamburg. Founded by three former scientists of the renowned Fraunhofer society, our goal is to maximize the efficiency of industrial manufacturing. Our software automatically identifies and quantifies potential cost and resource savings in manufacturing, especially through the application of 3D printing technologies. This enables industrial companies to make their production more cost-effective, efficient and sustainable.

What you will be working on:

• Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and present financial reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including existing and potential VC investors.
• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
• Coordination with tax advisor and assist with financial audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and drive operational efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in finance and accounting.
• Come to the office in Hamburg once a week for personal meetings and team building.  
• You speak fluent English to communicate with our international team members and customers. German is a plus but not needed.

What you bring along:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field (students currently pursuing a degree are also encouraged to apply).
• Initially part-time position (10-20 hours per week) with the target to transition to full-time in the near future.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Experience with financial software and tools beneficial (please specify).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• A growth mindset and eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
